Collective Cryptoverance
Born from the vision of financial freedom that began when we were children we present to you Crypcadia. There has always been an energy inside that kept pushing us to improve and become successful. All we ever wanted was the chance for a wonderful life and fair opportunity to achieve this. We call our passion Cryptoverance and it’s what is required to reach Crypcadia.
It’s the passion to not only help yourself but also your family and friends so they too can find solutions for what they want to achieve. Along the way everybody will need knowledge. So we provide you with CadiaGems. Curated crypto knowledge that will educate you on what’s required to succeed on the path to your ultimate destination.
Collective Cryptoverance
Several of the smart contract ‘challenger’ chains keep breaking their all time highs. Whilst Ethereum maintains a large lead over competitors by many metrics, with the long wait for Ethereum 2.0 some of the other base layer chains continue to gain traction. There are some who think Eth won’t always be the most popular smart contract chain and aren’t afraid to share their opinions. But what’s important is that the rivalries remain healthy.
At Crypcadia, we believe competition is a good thing for crypto and blockchain because it encourages innovation and improvements. When it becomes a race there is extra pressure on all of those involved to perform. Challengers have to summon all their resourcefulness and determination to overtake the leader. At the same time, the leader will have to push harder and harder to maintain the lead.
“We must adopt collective Cryptoverance”
However it’s also key to remember the crypto industry as a whole is still the challenger to traditional finance and we must summon all of our combined innovation and resourcefulness to overtake TradFi, which is still the leader by far. We must adopt collective Cryptoverance.
Most people have their favourite chains, but there must be a line drawn at having too much chain maximalism that it becomes destructive. Infighting is rarely a good thing and there’s a distinct difference to healthy competition.
When crypto is looking to present a better solution to what there already is, and there are still billions of people to persuade, we must remain conscious of how any destructive competition will appear to the newcomers. Whether it’s within the industry or when up against TradFi or governments.
Global finance is far from a zero-sum industry. There are still billions of unbanked people and the global population is growing all the time. One of the original motivations of the crypto industry was to provide an alternative to traditional finance. This is because they will often ignore the people who are unprofitable. With blockchain what we are building is a democratic system which is open to everybody...therefore there must be solutions for everybody.
Yes the fees on the Ethereum base layer are prohibitive at the moment. But again, it’s not a zero-sum game. There can be some chains which are directly challenging what TradFi offers with all the benefits of decentralization. Then other chains which are providing much cheaper and cost-effective solutions for a market segment of the less wealthy who can only currently afford the cheapest options.
By opening up they don’t just have an opportunity to send cheap transactions they have an opportunity to learn how to be their own bank or BYOB, and begin to leverage the power that TradFi has been wielding for centuries. At this stage it seems most probable there will be different chains and different Layer 2’s (or parachains) for different categories of users rather than one chain trying to serve the whole planet.
Eventually the interconnection will feel like a decentralized web of chains. So it will all be about perspective for each component of this web. We as users of each chain will be entitled to our own perspective and to choose which structures or teams of developers we most trust our value with. As the combined scalability of the decentralized web continues to grow there is increasing capacity for new users.
“Effective decentralization is the magic of public blockchains”
At Crypcadia we’d rather not sacrifice decentralization for speed because the power will be centred in ways that will eventually mimic the current systems which are available. Permissionless systems are only marginally beneficial if the same greed of the most powerful takes over. Effective decentralization is the magic of public blockchains because it ensures distribution of power when everybody is able to run a node and have an interest in its success and security.
But the market will decide and our only responsibility is to educate people to make their own decisions and understand the choices they are making. Marketing is a useful tool, but education is the most powerful.
For now we’ll leave you with the vision of collective Cryptoverance- remember we are still the challengers against TradFi and we must all unite. Friendly competition is healthy and there is room for everybody, especially those who’ve been excluded from full banking facilities for generations. Maintain your resilience, be open to change and stick together on the Path to Crypcadia.
